Basara pasticceria

In medieval Japan, the “Basara” were a group of samurai who did not conform to the uses and customs of society.
BASARA as a brand is inspired by this philosophy of independence and strength.

BASARA was born in 2011 in Milan and today it has 8 restaurants.

After the success of the first two restaurants in Milan, in 2015 BASARA opens in the heart of Venice, in Sestiere San Marco.

At the beginning of 2020 the restaurant moved to Calle Lunga San Barnaba, in Sestiere Dorsoduro and,
from March 2022, BASARA opend a new sushi corner at Nani Mocenigo Palace hotel.

The restaurant is the perfect location for an happy hours with cocktails and sushi, or for a romantic dinner.

The menu is based on the pillars of Chef Hiro’s cuisine: tradition and creativity that come together to create unique dishes.

The restaurant also offers take-away and delivery services throughout Venice.

Opening: the sushi corner at Nani Mocenigo Palace hotel will reopen in spring 2023
